VILLA METATO - LUXURY GUESTHOUSE
Welcome to Villa Metato.
We are a registered Italian B&B business situated in Umbria on the border with Tuscany. Our guesthouse offers a unique and relaxing environment for those of you who appreciate contemporary art, want to escape from the daily grind, revel in the opportunity to immerse yourselves in the stunningly beautiful and unspoilt Umbrian countryside and enjoy a little TLC.
Margherita is your host. She makes a yummy breakfast consisting of homemade jams, fresh bread and fruit. She tries to purchase everything locally. Her breakfasts are delicious, when you want them, on time and served with a smile. Always!
The guesthouse measures 120 sqm and is on two floors connected by a spiral staircase. An open plan living/sleeping area on the first floor and a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and bathroom on the ground floor. From the dining area there are double doors that lead out to an al fresco eating area with BBQ. In addition double doors on the first floor open onto a large terrace and private pool measuring 9m x 5m with a black liner and a salt-water filter system. 30mb of free internet is accessible almost everywhere, including the grounds and pool area. Heating is via convection heaters and a wood burning stove, neither of which you should need. Outside is a bocce court and plenty of shaded areas for reading and writing. We can arrange pilates, massages, and yoga. Further afield, horse riding, trekking around the hills, sailing on lake Trasimeno, private Italian cooking lessons, wine tasting, vineyard and sightseeing tours are all bookable. On the other hand, if you just want to disappear; Villa Metato is the perfect spot to do it! Whatever your tipple, we are sure your stay with us will be a memorable one.
Note: The connection from the ground to the first floor is via a spiral staircase. Villa Metato does not have disabled amenities. For clarification please email or call prior to booking.
Our guesthouse really only caters for two but we do have extra beds for little ones, just in case. If you are thinking of honeymooning in Italy, Think Villa Metato. We have been voted one of the best places to stay by “The Sunday Times”.
